I am embedded software engineer from Networking industry. I have few technical coding phone interviews (F and G) and few onsite interviews (Juniper, Cisco etc.) in coming weeks. Most of my day today coding does not involve advanced data structures and algos but these companies do test you on these. So which one is better to prepare for interviews. Leetcode vs Hacker rank. I find hacker problems explained in detail compared to leetcode but am seeing most of the community members here recommend leetcode. Also, many of the problems on leetcode are locked.
Codeforce
Leetcode has a much better ui. Hackerrank looks too cluttered imo
Embedded is dying man. Move to cloud for the big money.
Recommend any cloud companies where it might be relatively easy to move from embedded before I try the big ones?
I was in the same ship. Moved to Oracle BMC the comp blew my mind. I still do low level Linux system stuff though so my experience is still relevant.
Hackerrank should do the trick. Leetcode is a lot more into data structures. Being in a networking background myself, have not faced detailed algo problems but it all depends on your profile as well.
Leetcode is the undisputed king for interview prep.
Would you recommend buying the subscription or just stick with the free problems?
Buy subscription when you’re close to real interviews. Don’t buy before that.
