Since everyone is so obsessed with leet code than actual problem solving in day to day work I’m wondering if you are good at leet code and overall coding skills are above average, what is the survival rate at Companies like @Google @Lyft @Uber @amazon
I find minimal correlation between leetcode skill and being good as a dev. At best leetcode shows dedication and discipline to study which often correlates to a hard worker. I have encountered too many people who are insanely smart and good at leetcode, but in real life day to day development they are lazy, just scraping by fixing bugs here and there. Source: I have interviewed 100s of people and worked with many of them.
That’s because you work for Amazon.
I also know some of the worst devs getting pipped and moving to google and continue to suck over there. It's also much harder to get fired there. I wager no matter what company you are at, less then 10% of people are running the show. The rest are pumping out a few bug fixes and taking a few months to deliver small features. I also wager most complainers of Amazon on blind fit in this bucket. Top Amazon performers are rewarded heavily and those guys are not complaining here.
What the hell is a survival rate? Hardly anyone gets fired from Google.
Really?
You must be L3 or L4. Did you realize that every person who leaves Google for any reason is likely fired or under threat of firing? The company job model is to work people at 110% until they burn out, then fire them and get someone new.
I consider myself a leetcoder (failed fang interviews on three different occassions until i did leetcode). I'm doing well at Google. Promo in 1 year + good ratings
Wow that’s impressive dude/dudette
How many medium and hard leetcode problems for success?
