What has your experience been using LendingClub or prosper? Thinking of diversifying Incase if there’s a recession I don’t have all my eggs in the stock market. How much returns have u seen so far ?
Works as diversification but in a recession more people also default on their loans, which might make your ROI negative there too.
Expect a 5 or 6 percent return after defaults.
Not worth it, I have loans in all category and returns will be either 1 to 3 percent or negative in long run. Seems like most people default. So its lot better to put in index fund or stocks then LC. Also let say stock crash because or recession or something I am sure more people will default so.
Both are shit. And that’s even in 10 years of an economic boom. Expect much worse in a downturn
Neither have been good investments for me. Lending club has shown a 1.9% return and prosper 3.8%.
Don’t choose LC. You will thank me later.

LendingClub is better. There’s a market to resell notes, so you can liquify your holdings (albeit slowly) and buy notes at discounted rates.
