Not learning anything fundamental but wanting to touch touch everything and piece shit together? Shit I’m a staff engineer then. Tf.

I feel I am just faking it everyday. Sometimes I try to find an answer and if I can’t. I ask someone on the team. It’s a different team member every time.

I am a mostly self taught engineer and thus was missing a TON of foundational CS knowledge earlier in my career. It didn’t affect my work *that* much but it was super awkward when teammates would start having theoretical/academic conversations and I was clearly out of my league.

So I signed up to do campus interviews for interns in their 3rd/4th years of CS. My interviews were just having them teach me CS concepts.

Like literally: “Ok, let’s pretend you’re the professor and I’m the student, and you teach me about Big O”. It worked beautifully.
