Amazon destroyed the retail industry?

Amazon's growing footprint does create a problem for smaller businesses, which should be addressed. I wouldn't say they "destroyed" the retail industry though...

Even if they were destroying it, why do we care. Let them destroy it with lower prices for the consumers and a better shopping experience. I don’t see how that’s a bad thing.

Anti trust is also using one part of a business to reduce competitiveness in another part - for example if Amazon Retail was not charged for their AWS usage, allowing them to undercut Walmart, etc.

It's equivalent of stating Apple destroyed cellphone market. Both statements are nonsensical.

This is plain BS. As a consumer I have thousands of options to buy wherever I want. Plus online retail is a tiny slice of the whole retail.

I would rather prefer the government looking into utility and ISP companies, where in a given area there are only 2, and in some cases 1 option of a shitty service that costs twice than any industrial country in the world.

Or look at the 2 big contractor companies working in infrastructure projects with 10x inflated prices.

Let’s go after the companies financed by taxpayers

This quite proves Munchin is clueless about Amazon's business model: "People had those concerns about Walmart. Walmart developed a business where small business could continue to compete with them,"
