I'm playing around with some tech (creating apps, websites, etc) and am feeling I have a lot of gaps on how to manage general workflow of code checkin, launching / dev ops, backups, etc. E.g. I have an app/web page which has a supporting backend DB. I'd like to learn more about how to update live code, rollback safely if I need to, and then be confident that my db and content is always backed up just case an update screwed anything up or gets corrupted somehow.
At google everything is pretty much automated for us so I don't really think about it.

Thoughts? I was thinking I maybe should just go hang out somewhere like tech co-working space even and learn from some folks there but may there are some good online resources to learn from?

    Wow. Trolls galore on blind.
Otherwise known as overcompensating little d!cks.
If you don't have anything of value to add, why not keep your mouth shut and go back to trolling your mom.

Thank you. I've found some good pointers on there and it has helped. Are there any particular searches or areas you would suggest to focus on?
