Hi all, I am going to keep it brief. I am interviewing with Liberty Mutual for a Principal SWE role. I have 5 YOE, what can I realistically expect for TC there?
Their titles are inflated, principal is like a senior elsewhere. I was offered a "principal" position in Seattle for TC of 180-190. They tend to pay shit, and their offices seemed soul crushing. Funny story, when I declined and mentioned I was taking another offer the recruiter asked about compensation details of other offer. When I told him the ballpark he immediately began spamming me asking if they were hiring... which doesnt speak well for Liberty imo.
Yeah I am even shocked that it is for a principal role. I just assumed it was an alternative for Senior engineer over there.
5 YOE = principal?
