Life time cap in terms of number of interviews allowed?

Like if you failed two on site interview opportunities, then you won't be allowed to try for any openings of same role in the future. Does anyone of the FAANG or PULPA company have such kind of rules? Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Google, Netflix Pinterest, Uber, Lyft, Postmates Airbnb, etc.

No company tracks to that level of detail. You aren’t that important to them.

FB used to revisit candidates that failed their first loop about 6-9 months afterwards. I did about 400 interviews in my time there so saw a lot of candidates that failed their first one with another team, then the recruiter revisited them as a candidate for our team. I have seen folks interview 3-4 times over the span of 3-4 years. Not sure what the hard limit is but I think it depends on the sourcers/recruiters (who churn quite often).

You all know there are more than 10 employers in the country... Right?

Facebook SegTree Feb 23, 2019

How many of those other employers pay senior software engineers $350-450k in real money? Or $450-600k for principal engineers? How many of those company provide the challenges that come from having to scale to support hundreds of millions to billions of customers?

Amazon eds@ Feb 23, 2019

There are definitely companies not top ones that pay 350+ in real money to seniors. I interviewed at one. In terms of scale, it doesn’t need to be millions of customers only, it can be billions of some other things generated by several hundred thousand of customers.

They may start that after looking into blind. Recruiter are always trying to be a** h*** in weeding out candidates.
