Got approached by a recruiter. Howz the company culture ? Future plan and vision?
I got to know this company by: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/07/24/pinterests-head-of-engineering-li-fan-leaves-for-scooter-company-lime.html
So I am not the only one
future is acquired by someone. this biz model doesnt work, coz they own those bikes, maintainance cost is high, bikes cannot generate enough revenue. but their data is valuable. in china, mobike is acquired by big names, ofo run out of money now
Check out the stratechery post, bike sharing is actually almost profitable with a short time to break even. Even when taking into account theft, charging/repairs etc
explain why those bike sharing companies in china/hong kong ran out of money. btw one of the executives is my friend, all they were doing is finding a buyer, and cash out.
Do you enjoy cycling more than you enjoy smart watches?
Recently partnered with Uber. Jump bike did this and got acquired shortly after. Hmm...
Very bullish on Lime and Bird. Business model is far stronger than Chinese equivalents (Ofo and Mobike) due to higher price points in the US / ARPU: https://futureengine.org/articles/scooters-are-worth-10b
In USA no body is using the shared bikes , when I was in China it took it like a boom and hundreds of companies entered market . Pioneers are ofo and mobike in China . They were paying close to alibaba and baidu in tc
Are you in Seattle? Because the city is littered with Lime bikes and thousands are being used at any given moment.
I don't think I have ever seen one used, but do see them littered everywhere.
