I recently interviewed for Senior Software Engineer position in LinkedIN. I believe my interview was good as I was able to answer the questions during the interview. I got a generic reply from the recruiter saying that "Our team has reviewed the feedback from the interview and have found that we do not have a strong and appropriate match in contrast to other candidates being considered." Is there anyway to get more specific feedback from the recruiter?
Why do you care .... just move on. Many companies have policy not to give specific feedback because of legal ramifications.
Doesn't hurt to ask while thanking them. Say it's for your own learning purposes. But don't get disappointed if they don't respond.
They will never give specific feedback even though recruiters themselves do not agree with this policy. Yet they have to comply!
You'll get something vague... It sucks. But being in interview panels I know how someone who hasn't conducted their interview well can fuck up things for a good candidate.
