Hey guys, Anyone interview at linkedin for their android dev position? Any pointers? I’m specifically worried about the laptop coding round- what’s the complexity of the app- how should i prepare/practice? Also worried about system app design- any pointers there? Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)
I got the offer for infra track but not sure if they have android specific rounds for "Android" Onsite? The coding and sys design were pretty straightforward. Feel free to DM if you have questions about anything.
Did you get the job? Please share your experience.
Interviewed over a year ago, didn't get the job. Coding round is pretty straight forward. RecyclerView, or Fragment body, or both, may be Navigation from the more recent Jetpack. Can be an empty project, or a brand new project in the ide. Don't expect latest android studio version, gradle, kotlin compiler, plugin etc. Do what you can with what you got, and yeah, no internet allowed at all. System Design is relatively easier. They'll ask to build android app from scratch, on white board, my recommendation practice UML. Follow some best guidelines and recommendations. Important to cover User Experience expectations, success flows, error flows etc before beginning anything.
Thank you!
