LinkedIn recruiter lowballing on the level
I talked to a LinkedIn recruiter regarding interview.
I am currently an E5 at Facebook, whose LinkedIn equivalent is Staff Engineer. (According to levelsfyi)
My yoe is 5 years.
However, she told me that they offer staff only to people with 8+ years of experience.
She told me that if I do really really well in the interviews, they will invite me for additional interviews to test my leadership and mentoring skills.
She has sent me a senior engineer role and wants me to apply for that.
What should I do? Should I just apply or ask her to send me a staff engineer job?
Is she speaking the truth or just lowballing me?
