LinkedIn refresher question

As per blind, LinkedIn doesn't give refreshers to most people. Doesn't that result in a big drop in TC in the 5th year (once initial grant runs out)? Wondering how does TC growth happens in LinkedIn. Generous salary increase?

Good performers get refreshers. Not good performers leave before 5 years.

I read somewhere that it is given to top 20/30% performers only, also it isn't very generous. Looks like the TC doesn't increase much. How much salary increase and refreshers are given on promotion? Let's say from senior to staff?

Top performers get * some refreshers that soften the cliff. Data set of a dozen friends and me. But in most cases, not enough to avoid the cliff completely. Stock appreciation is taken into account, like Amazon and other companies. Our refresher policy isn't as good as FAANG, even people who get promos can't avoid the cliff fully 😔 Avoiding cliff is hard when your stock appreciates so much. If not the cliff of initial grant, you'll hit the cliff of refreshers later.

It's gonna suck if TC doesn't increase significantly every year :-/ Stock won't appreciate every year to make up for it. Also, if they take the stock appreciation as a factor, they should give refreshers when the stocks doesn't do well.

There's three kinds of people here, the ones who get enough refreshers to avoid cliff(rare even among those who always get exceeds rating performers), the ones who leave by 4th year, and the coasters.

Pretty much same for Salesforce. Either be a top performer, leave before 4 years or let the tc fall off cliff
