LinkedIn teams hiring in US and India (or other countries)
I was told by recruiter that my OPT should not be problem to interview at LinkedIn. I cracked my phone interview and then recruiter circled back saying that team I interviewed for has position only in US, so they want to hold my onsite interview till I get my H1 B lottery result. But he said if he finds out any team which is hiring in US and abroad (so that they can move me to other country if my H1 B is not picked) she will let me know. I would like to know is there any team at LinkedIn hiring in US and abroad and fine with OPT. I have less than 6 months left on OPT.
What is an OPT? FYI We do have a Bangalore office If your H1B doesn’t work out. I can’t vouch for openings in that office though.
So LinkedIn is very prompt and helpful for your H1B and PERM application process. Only problem I see here is time. As you mentioned you got 6 months left, even if LinkedIn hire you now, it cannot apply for your H1B due to time constraints, as H1B filing for FY 2019 already over.
true, but current employer submitted petition for this year's H1 B lottery.
Also, cracking the first phone interview is just step 1 in the hiring process. There are many more rounds you have to clear first before a hiring decision is made.
yes, I am not complaining about LinkedIn, I am just trying to find out team which will be fine if my H1 B not picked and ready to move me to other countries, so that at least I will get a chance for on-site interview. thanks for your response.
