Hello folks,
I got an offer from LinkedIn for senior software engineer role and the recruiter is pressing to take a decision in a day or 2 ., I gave my interviews to Google L4 last week and waiting for the decision from Hiring committee.
LinkedIn recruiter is promising that he would get me the top of the band offer if I commit about it in a day or two.
LinkedIn initial verbal offer:
Base: 175k
RSU: 300k/4 years
Any suggestions on what to do or which one to choose between Google and LinkedIn ?
Current TC: 185k
YOE: 4
Thanks for reading.
Update: I haven’t passed Google hiring committee ., so I am joining LinkedIn. Negotiated a bit and got 180k base and 335k RSU ., I am happy with it :)

I had both offers. Google was my 13th offer and they beat everyone else.
All the best
Google L4 can reach 170k base + 500k rsus if you have competing offer, so keep that in mind
Btw, senior at LinkedIn is a meh level. Check levels.fyi
Remember Sr Swe at LinkedIn is a confusing band compared to other companies, covers L4.5 - L5.5.
We have a classification of Swe as ELT (entry level talent) which is equivalent to L3 and an experienced Swe which is more in L3.5-L4.5.
It also depends on the team matching. If it GCP, avoid it like plague. If it is LinkedIn Amber js team avoid it like small pox.
And in general LinkedIn is smaller and company's culture is better. Only drawback is standard refreshers. You can make up for that by getting EE rating.
