Aiming for promotion + interesting project, go to Uber. Aiming for good WLB and chill, go to LinkedIn
How’s promotion at Uber faster? I don’t see that happening before 1 1/2 years at Uber
Are u sure the Uber L4 target refresher is 105k? I’m p sure it’s more like 55k.
My bad. It reads 52.5K (4 year target value 105K)
What do u mean by 4 year target 105k?
What does mid level mean for Linkedin ? Software engineer or Senior Software Engineer ?
Design role
Is this eng role? Seems low for l4 4 yoe
Design role
I see. My opinion is that Uber is way more exciting in their growth strategy.
Uber
Any reasons you’d like to mention for your recommendation?
Uber has more potential upside. LinkedIn is pretty stale and can be very political (depending on teams but there are more often than not). Many good colleagues left for Uber but we rarely get ex Uber here which means something

Do you really think Amazon is that bad
Walking distance would be the clincher for me. It will add so much to your QOL. The chances of not getting some sort of payout for Uber stock are pretty close to nil at this point, so I would be comfortable with making that tradeoff financially. That initial grant still seems low considering LI's equity is liquid, especially given that MSFT stock has been tearing it up and shows no signs of slowing down
To summarize, Uber > LinkedIn
