Hi, I have submitted an application for Linkedin Summer intern 2020 by clicking on "Easy Apply" on the job post. Now, my alumni working at Linkedin is unable to give a referral as the system is not allowing him by showing - "The candidate is already in the system" Can someone from Linkedin suggest, how to resolve this ? Can I delete the application and then ask for the referral ? This seems to be a major design bug in the system.
It's no Design bug, nearly all hris work this way. Give the alumni a different email address and they'll be able to submit you a second time.
But the alumni doesn't want to do that as he feels it might look bad on both of us by giving a duplicate application.
Google has this too
This is standard- have your referral contact a campus recruiter so they can review your application

Yeah I faced this issue when I was interviewing with LinkedIn. I got my referrer to directly talk to the recruiter and HM and forward them my CV.
