Linkedin onsite, any chances?

I interviewed recently for Senior SWE (Applications) position at LinkedIn. Everything went well except one of the coding rounds where two LC medium questions were asked, I did really well in the first one but did a mistake in the second one where the interviewer pointed out and I corrected it without any help, it’s just that I had a really bad day. Rest of the interviews went well, does this one coding round affect my chances? In the other coding round I was able to solve two LC hard and the interviewer was pretty impressed.

I heard host manager can also vouch for you during the hiring committee review . I think you should be fine .. all the best

Were any LC Hards asked? Also, are LinkedIn tagged questions on LC good enough for on-site?

Symantec TheAsyncGy OP Dec 9, 2018

One hard was directly from LC, but it’s really hard and the other one was just an added complexity to existing LC medium

What people forget is the importance of host manager interview. They have the power to tip the scale when snr is low from coding and design rounds.

Did you hear a decision ?

Symantec TheAsyncGy OP Dec 17, 2018

Got reject

SAP Mounaguru Dec 17, 2018

What was the reason ? Did they tell you ?

Symantec TheAsyncGy OP Dec 17, 2018

No reason given, looks like I didn’t get good points in system design round
