Recently got offers from both companies. Twitter SDE2 TC 240k. Linkedin SDE 226k. Twitter pros: higher TC and level, yearly refresh cons: long commute(from San Jose), probably higher pressure because of higher level. Linkedin pros: better wlb, easy commute cons: lower TC, no refresh 1 yoe at FB
If you’re willing to move, would go with Twitter.
Why leave FB these both seem like lower offers than FB

Personally I’d go with shorter commute unless you’re gonna move closer to Twitter. You’ll get burned out faster with a long commute
Twitter has satellite office in Sunnyvale on Mathilda. Can work from there couple of days if that works. Also it's not very difficult to become senior at Li unlike Google. May not miss much in level I think.
The team I interviewed is in SF. Recruiter told me that I would join the team directly if I go with Twitter.
Team will be in SF. You work remotely from another office and travel to SF as and when needed. Sunnyvale itself won't have any teams.
What's the sign on at each and TC is including sign on?
It's all included. I broke sign on into 4 years.
Would you mind sharing the specifics. Base, RSU, sign on.
240K for 1 YOE! Wow. Why would you jump ship in a year?
Worked at FB and LinkedIn. FB is way better in all respects, except wlb.
How bad is wlb at Facebook compared to LinkedIn?
My experience at LinkedIn was you could just do some stuff and it's fine. Not a whole lot of pressure around goals so you can just work at your own pace. At FB you have pressure to hit goals. So you have to manage your time carefully, and manage expectations if you want decent wlb
