How are LinkedIn perf reviews done, is it a stack ranking process ? I heard one of my friends say he got a 3 rating but still a salary bump and good bonus but no refreshers. LinkedIn added a new system such that they will automatically give you enough equity to bring you up or some midpoint number that’s calculated based on some industry data. Then for actual performance based equity there’s no magic formula to decide how much you get. It’s basically up to your manager. I’ve seen people get exceeds and get little equity and people get meets end get more than they should have.
Is there an annual performance cycle ? How difficult it is get an exceeds ? Also, does your bonus and hike depends on the ratings ?

Is there a ballpark on the distribution for % of people in each rating? Do managers get forced into putting only a specific % in exceeds etc?
