LinkedIn. It's a public company. With Airbnb you have to wait for the IPO.
That seems like a really strong offer for senior... Do they really pay that much?
Are you sure annual bonus is 10% at LinkedIn. With that base I’d assume it’s L4 which is 15%
got similar offer can confirm its 10% for sr swe. I think 15% might be for staff or up
What’s refresh at LinkedIn, that’s a deciding question here
Not great, unfortunately. I have been here for almost 3 years, got “meets all” every review cycle, never got a refresher.
Airbnb.
I had the same offers last month. I chose Airbnb. 1. I think you have room to negotiate on your base at Airbnb by at least 10k. 2. Google Airbnb public financials. They really have a high upside for their current valuation. It’s a stable bet. 3. I would suggest speaking with both your hiring managers. I really enjoyed my chat with my Airbnb hiring manager and ended up choosing Airbnb as a result. 4. Airbnb refreshers at 92 for meets only. They double/triple if you perform well. Although, on the flip side, LinkedIn is known to have fantastic food and yes, those msft stocks are great for the long term. But you can always switch to Linkedin from Airbnb, you might not have the opportunity to do that with Airbnb while the upside still exists.
I think don't understand how refreshers work? Anyone care to explain?
Most companies have stock refreshers. Based on your performance, you may be allocated a new amount of stock that usually vest after 4 years (the same as your original stock) from the date you received them (or the nearest new quarter). You get these on top of your original stock. It's an employee retention lever
@Indecysive - Would the annual stock refreshers be allocated every year or just the first year?
Ask for more RSUs from Airbnb and take the offer. They’re one of the best places to work.
