Listing when you got promoted on linkedin/resume

Lets say someone joined as L4 SDE out of school and moved up to L6SDE (Sr level) in 5yrs On resume or linked do you indicate when exactly you got promoted or got a title change? or just list Sr SDE (2015-current) or some such? Im thinking it may be a benefit for those newly promoted to leave out exact time of promotion when searching for external offer. do recruiters ask?

In any case those details aren’t important for the question

You can put SDE 1 x-y, SDE 2 y-z, etc

I keep a generic software engineer title. Let the recruiter ask me and I will share my level.

Does that hurt visibility?

I didn’t feel any such thing. They all seem to assume that I am Sr. going by the yoe.
