Hello,
I was thinking a lot about this now. We all know that apps literally took over the traffic from websites. In most general cases people prefer apps over websites. I’m not considering ai as a threat right now.
My stipulation is, there may come a day when the cost of having a website ( engineers, managers, etc) up and running exceeds the profit they gain from sales done of website. Then there could be a snowball effect that would result in companies giving up on websites. On the contrary, i know that websites will always be shown on search engine and apps couldn’t get a share of that slice.
What do you think? Will website get obsolete ?
Are the frontend devs at risk in the future?

I barely have 50 apps on my phone.
And my most used app is also a web browser
in past couple of decades world went from static HTML pages, dynamic webpages built with php, to pages rendered with angular/react...changes are natural
