What are your long term goals in finance? Most people go into banking as a means of moving to buy-side after a few years, though that is definitely not the only path possible. What are your goals and why?
Commercial banking has begun to seem more attractive given the WLB that seems to be more and more nonexistent elsewhere and in other industries. Plus the fact that I can move to any state and most likely find a job with either the community bank or a bigger one - not that I'd aim to, just like the accessibility.
Thinking of spending 3 years as an IB analyst (M&A) then transferring to a corporate development poistion
I’m in consulting so my goal is to potentially move up in the firm to hit MD our out to a managing level at other firms. Maybe PE if the opportunity arises
Early retirement for sure!
For me, I am more interested in being hands-on than in an advisory role so I am planning on moving into an industry role after IB.
