Hello All, I am an Enterprise Account Executive with Verizon and looking to move to SaaS sales in San Diego. I have 6 years of B2B experience (Oracle and Verizon) and average slightly over 200K OTE. If you have career opportunities or can refer me, please DM me! Thank you!
There are lots of simple, boring 10-50k ACV SaaS offerings that usually pay out on monthly commissions. Good/fast money but don’t automatically assume that SaaS is more challenging
Agreed. Aside from the challenging aspect, I don’t see the value of me selling partner solutions. From a compensation perspective, I do all the work/sales and get cents to the dollar while the account rep that I partnered with makes way more. The way I see it, I can go directly to the company and work for them
What did you end up doing OP?
What were you selling at Verizon and what were the job titles of your prospects?
Currently at Verizon but selling a lot. Basic sales are smartphones, tablets, VoIP. A little more complex, Mobile Device Management/Security, GSuite, network security, wireless failover, SaaS solutions from our partners such as clicksoftware, GoCanvas, ELD. In terms of titles I sell to, I only manage 12 named accounts so across many LOBs. CFOs, IT Directors, legal advisors, Sales Managers, HR Managers
Interesting, I would definitely emphasize the software components as much as possible. It sounds obvious but the more you can position your experience as already selling SaaS, the easier it will be to transition.
