I have been a sr-level / director-level Product Manager at various smaller / non-big-tech companies and have been trying for 3+ years to break into Meta, only to get rejected for a 3rd consecutive time and again at the on-site round. I feel my efforts will be better spent trying to break into a different company - Google, Airbnb, etc. I understand all of these companies in big tech have a high bar, and I’m willing to put in any amount of work needed, However, I can’t seem to land an interview, my confidence has taken a hit and I need to build it back up. Looking for PM mentors at any / all of these companies to help me navigate this transition. #google #airbnb #netflix #linkedin #uber #dropbox #coinbase #productmanager #product #pm TC: $250k-$300k YOE: 15+
Google PM interview process is even harder than Meta
I’m ready to put in the work
Dude how are you ready for google and airbnb which are both significantly harder than Facebook if you couldn’t get into Facebook? My question is to point out that there is faulty logic on why you’re not doing meta anymore or to point out to you that you’re far from ready…
How much €£¥ you got
Use igotanoffer and buy the coaching sessions with the Senior Googlers.
Have you tried recording yourself? I’m in the same boat and find recording myself helpful
Great tip, I have done that a dozen times, give or take. At the point of diminishing returns
Is it a specific round you been having struggle with ? Sense execution. ?
In same boat. Got a reject from Meta in 2nd on-site. Don’t know what I am doing wrong. I felt that the interview went fine. Made good points and was appreciated by the interviewer for asking the right questions. From interviewers reactions I felt they were impressed.
What do you mean by “ asking right questions “ ? No offense but most of these interviews end up 1 sided when it comes to asking questions and that’s always the interviewer
Clarifying questions
Also then did you clear Meta?
Guess you don’t know the blind rule—TC and YoE is required for any post.
