Looking for free lunch in San Francisco
So I joined Salesforce a few months ago and we don’t have free lunches and to be honest people on my floor are pretty antisocial. I was wondering if anyone who works in downtown SF with free lunch is interested in just badging me into their cafeterias. I can offer free trips to SFMOMA as an exchange if you are into that. If you want me to eat with you it’s cool. if not it’s cool too. I am a female engineer and I am interested in cryptocurrencies and art and lots of other things. Not looking for a relationship, just lunch and maybe a fun conversation sometimes. You can bitch to me about your job and your free lunch’s quality since I don’t work with you. PM me if you are interested. Preferably your company is within walking distance. Google is closest to where I work.
You know that they could get fired if the company get to know that they hosted you for lunch in exchange for a benefit?

It could happen. It has happened at Facebook couple of years ago. First, let me tell you - You'll get a lot of PMs from all those desperate men. They would boast to their coworkers about you going on multiple "lunch" dates with them. Regardless where they work, men are foolish when it comes to women because they think with their D and not their brains. If any one of their coworkers finds it unprofessional they'd report it to the HR.
so are the food prices high, salesforce pays so little or you’re just cheap? (my guess is the third one)

Naw salesforce is a lot better than surveymonkey. It’s more to just meet some new people, too. I can afford lunch. I worked in San Mateo for a lotta years and have fond memories though. Worked at a company without free lunch out there and we drove to downtown and sometimes even Sunnyvale for epic lunch trips. I miss that

Golden gate is way out of walking distance. I do walk to the bay bridge a lot. Pier 24 has a great photo collection right under the bay bridge :):)

I don’t understand why you guys assume I don’t like my job. My job itself is pretty great and my team is very respectful and supportive. SFDC is actually doing really really well on all fronts too and really the best company I have worked at so far. It’s just that a lot of people are older and eat at their desks. I respect their choices and don’t want to intrude.
