Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
I have 3 years experience dealing with analysts from Forrester, etc. while working as a market researcher at an industrial products corporation + 6 years as director of marketing and communications at a startup. Plus other assorted tech and tech-adjacent communications, marketing, and PR experience. I want to transition out of cyber security (currently a senior cyber security and threat analyst) and back into comms / PR. Analyst relations seems like an uncanny match for my profile, but am, so far, having zero luck 1) getting nitty gritty info on the field / meeting people who do this and 2) making headway in my job search - have aplied for numerous jobs and was quickly rejected each time...like within 24 hrs. Insight, thoughts, and experience are much appreciated.
I’m in the process of gathering more information as well. Try and start with “IIAR” website (Institute of Influencer & Analyst Relations). I also highly recommend reading “Analyst on Analyst Relations” book by Robin Schaefer. It’s very insightful. IIAR has the role related openings and study materials. A certification from IIAR can help get your foot in the door. IIAR also has compensation related information. It should help you chart a plan.
