With the exodus of good people from Qualcomm and looming layoffs, I have been on the lookout for a switch. The work environment is quite depressing now tbh. Thing is I was a new grad when I joined this job, had worked really hard for it but all of this is just few months ago. I have started to apply but not hearing back from recruiters, not even as much as back when I was a new grad. Can anyone provide me a referral at Apple, Tesla, Google, Lyft or any other company where the job requirements are not completely oblique to my skill set.

Cellular is a field that has really went down hill in the last several years. So many chip and phone makers went out of business. If you are only a few months into it, your career growth potential would be much better if you switch to cloud or even other firmware field. We have quite a few in my team who were formerly from Palm and Rim.
