Similar experience with Adobe. I had an Adobe employee refer me and reach out to the recruiter multiple times to at least have a conversation over the phone with me. But the recruiter never got back.
I tried applying to a few vacancies and even reached out to a couple of Adobe recruiters on LinkedIn but didn’t get a single response, not even a “thank you we’re not interested”.
Well, this is depressing to hear. I was internally referred about a month ago and still no email or call. Assumed it was due to the holidays but am still waiting. Meantime, I also put in for 3 other positions at Adobe directly online (not referred) just last week. Adobe is my first choice in companies I want to move to. :( Meanwhile, I’ve been internally referred at another company and was contacted within three days.
Frustrated Adobe employee here, my referrals almost never get contacted. There's one recruiter who actually reaches out and it's only bc I've formed a personal relationship with them.
If recruiters rarely contact referrals, do you think they prefer contacting those who apply directly online? That wouldn’t make sense to me but they must be filling positions from somewhere. Seriously bummed to read this thread...I have prepped for weeks anticipating at least a phone screen (program manager role).
Well, I'm just speaking from my experience referring folks. I was an internal referral and got hired, and many of my colleagues were as well. It just seems lately no one can get any referrals through or contacted. Must be a ton of folks applying or something.
My brother works at Adobe and referred me. Recruiter never reached out so he ended up bugging his manager about it. Manager contacted me directly and had to go through lots of hassle to even get the process started with recruiting. Luckily they dragged their feet because by the time I finally got an offer, a Facebook recruiter reached out to me the same day. So now I'm here 😁
Happy for you! I had a phone interview with FB last week and hoping to get an on-site. But since Adobe is also a great company AND about half the commute time for me, I’m still pursuing Adobe. But FB would be awesome, too, of course. Wish us poor sops luck!
What was your adobe offer like?
I have never seen such bad recruiters in a company. How do they even hire a candidate then?
When I reached out to hiring managers directly, most of the times they already have preferred candidate in mind instead of coming through the recruiting pipe. Only recently we start seeing more university grads or “diverse” candidates.
Adobe recruiters don’t even bother to respond to internal applications. I referred a few and not a single contact received.
