Amazon > Cognizant any day in any universe in any dimension Why do you not want to join Amazon?

Cognizant bugMonkey OP Dec 28, 2019

Come on man, this one's my gf's email id. Jst because I pointed Amazon's shit you're here to take your frustration out. Face it bud! Period!!

Amazon Stonks📈 Dec 28, 2019

Lol am I the one releasing frustration? Take a chill pill OP.

IMO even amazon is far better than GS. GS guys work on very old systems majorly fixing it. Engineering work is not that challenging there. Also you won't get a laptop and have to work from office as they are very serious about their security or anything being leaked.

Lol it's cost cutting dude. If it was so secure, why wouldn't any of the tech companies that spend several billions on security implement the same system. They definitely care about data privacy, and leaks though to be fair. But it sucks not having work issued hardware, no separation between personal and work. Also you can work from home through VPN on personal laptop.

Depends on the team, just like any org. I get to wfh at least 3 days a week and some months even entirely wfh, so (not) having a laptop is not an issue. But I do know many on banking or trading side may not have wfh and or remote access privileges, and some do have but even more scrutiny involved.

Did you get full time swe offer from Amazon? If you're considering gs over amazon for swe roles, you're an idiot. Amazon >>> GS > cognizant

Bank of America boa177 Dec 29, 2019

WTF is wrong with you? Amazon maybe tier 2 but GS is tier 10. The reason why you failed the test is - people in banks think n**2 is better than nlogn.

Cognizant bugMonkey OP Dec 29, 2019

Lol . .. refer me for BOFA plz 😅

Bank of America boa177 Dec 29, 2019

I've worked at both and wouldn't recommend either. Probably better off at any random company that gives you an offer in silicon valley.
