Hi all, recent grad here. 3 internships, 6 months full time experience currently. I'm looking to move on for better professional development/more interesting work and would be incredibly grateful for referrals. ~150 Leetcode, 90 medium #microsoft #facebook #twitter #linkedin #dropbox #pinterest #amazon #atlassian #brex #airtable #google #instacart #square #faang #snowflake #rubrik #bloomberg #stripe #snap #netflix #lyft #uber #spotify #apple #coinbase #rivian #tesla #airbnb #discord #reddit #janestreet #twosigma #hrt #deshaw #imc #optiver #referral

Microsoft doesn't accept referrals for anyone with less than 1 year of work exp (they are treated on par with college hires).. This shows up on our tool when I try to submit and I've been told this by HR as well.. It helps to stay in your job for a year or 2 get a promo or 2 and apply at a level higher than what college grads get. That way your growth is on par with anyone that started off in these companies..
What about 2 YOE before Masters ? In that case can a referral be made ?
Thank you for the response and the advice. I know it's early in my career to leave my first job and I don't want to be viewed as a job hopper. But I also don't want to be stuck in a workplace I don't enjoy where I don't feel I'm developing my skills for another 1.5 years.
