https://www.recode.net/2018/3/3/17074782/uber-mit-study-less-than-4-hour-flawed Disappointing to see how the new Uber CEO is now taking the low roads, insulting other people who's opinions and work he disagrees with.
So Uber’s issue with the survey is how the questions are worded?
No, the issue is that the question’s intent is ambiguous. Depending on interpretation, the real income values could be halved. There are issues with multiple assumptions just were made as well which Lyft called out in their review of the results.
Lol I thought it was pretty jokes
Dara’s response was not ideal, but the real story here is that i) techreview != MIT and ii) how unconcerned with truth the modern media is that it thinks that it’s more likely that millions of drivers are irrational simpletons and drive for $3/hr, rather than consider the possibility that a college newspaper designed its survey carelessly.
Bit please, I'm being paid to dislike Uber but that doesn't mean I'll lower my scientific standards to those of MIT. this "research" is so incompetent, so amateur, so devoid of science, it's almost like a gender studies "research". Moreover, it's very condescending and pretentious, apparently drivers can't even fucking calculate their wages and require wise "scientists" to do that for them. all those years and some haven't even realized they're making *negative* wages, God bless MIT for teaching them this scientific fact! This reflects upon MIT as a whole, and not just the few charlatans who wrote this, since MIT has not disowned this wreck in any way. They probably gave those students A+ and a linkedin recommendation so they can get a job at a taxi union lobby.
💯💯
Get off the Uber hate bandwagon. This is a bunch of crap blown out of proportion apparently at Uber we aren’t allowed to disagree with anything. Apparently making a stupid dad joke when doing it is considered Uber 1.0...

Looks like MIT is revisiting the study after being called out on its research methods. Just because an institution is prestigious doesn't mean it can't be challenged. Do some more research, there are articles about what exactly Uber is challenging.
Wow. Calm down. I don't mind questioning methods. It's the insulting tweet that I'm calling out.
What part of my response wasn't calm?
