I feel like I’m putting my money into a black hole, my 401k from Amazon lost 1/3 of it’s value these last two weeks (new grad so I don’t have as much). I want to have more money so I can save for an emergency fund, only have enough for two months of expenses. I have a roth 401k right now with my new employer, 10% contribution and 6% match from employer. TC: 105k (Not at Amazon anymore)
Double your contribution.
Why don’t you just contribute cash... no risk there. And once the markets stabilize you can convert it to stocks.
Money you contribute now is basically buying artificially low stocks. It's more important to contribute now
You lost what you lost. Putting in money now is buying low and will help you recoup your losses.
You want to buy when the price is low. I would put every last cent you responsibly can into the market. It's the buying opportunity of a lifetime.
Yo what happened to your job at Amazon?
Switched to Salesforce for higher pay and better WLB. I was an L3 at Amazon making $60k lol
What field are you in?
