I applied to a director role at a pharma startup. Hiring manager said they want to bring me on board but as a senior manager. They want me to gain more experience for a few years prior to giving me the director title and pay. I asked about the job responsibilities and they said they are the same. Has anyone else had this happen to them? It doesn’t feel right to do the same exact job but get paid less. I’m kind of frustrated now…
