Sorry for the rant but it is what it is.
Not able to login to my account. Using the correct credentials. The site pops up with “some error occurred” and then takes me back to login page. I can clearly see that there are http 500 and 504 timeouts in the developers tool.
Internet is damn slow. Restart never works. Even conmecting to the router shows i am not getting the speed i pay for but when you run their in house speed test, it shows everything is fine 😬
Customer support sucks big time. They have no clue whats going on.And when the realized that they cannot bluff me on the technical aspects, they put me on infinite hold.
FOLKS WORKING IN ATT TECH DEPARTMENT: Do you guys know about these issues? Or is that you just dont care? Signing in takes 30 minutes, the entire site is crappy with no optimization. I wonder if the senior atchitects are even qualified engineers.

Customer support is so bad that employees have a different hotline for when we call in so we can actually get useful support. So management knows it sucks but doesn’t care about fixing it.
In terms of slow service that is very dependent of where you live and what service you get. The att fiber stuff is good and fast as a rule of thumb. Anything copper based is usually trash.
In terms of what people are doing to fix it last I heard we had a team of design thinkers who decided we needed a white page with some login boxes and an att logo. They also are working on developing a customer profile so you can see management doesn’t care about a working product more if it looks nice or something.
To your point of senior architects and qualified engineers we don’t have many. Most stuff is built and maintained by contractors and anyone with architect in their title is basically just good at bullshitting to management. Everyone good leaves within 5 years and what’s left are the people that have no pride in their work and/or no skill.
