2 questions: 1 - I have 3 yoe. I expect the recruiter to ask me what compensation I expect. I'll answer with the max of what Lyft offers for around my level of experience. How much would that be though. Someone I know who had masters and just over 3 yoe got a 300k offer. Should I ask for the same? 2 - Can anyone who has interviewed at Lyft recently share what questions they got asked? I want to get a sense for the level of difficulty of both coding and design questions.
I’m an engineering hiring manager. We have set bands for every level. You’re probably looking at targeting T4. Our levels are roughly equivalent to facebooks. Don’t tell them what you expect, just say you’re targeting T4. You’re going to get placed within the band based on your performance during your loop. Giving them expectations is only going to give them ammo to lowball you.
