What’s up with Lyft? I’ve been having recruiters reach out but hearing that they’re about to layoff a ton and go bankrupt. Can anyone provide some insight? #lyft #Lyft careers
While I do agree their business model leaves a lot to be desired and there’s no real diversification, where are you hearing the layoff and bankruptcy news from?
It’s not great but also not as bad as you say. Great place for high TC and manageable WLB. Feels a little stagnant inside the company, so I’m on my way out
Are there layoffs happening?
Nope don’t think so.
Yeah agree with others. Stagnant but good pay. I'm out though. I think many good people have left / leaving. Also 1yr grants aren't working for people used to 4yr grants so that is pushing people away too. No reason new folks will not turn the company around though
Besides stagnant any other reasons to leave
Market is hot and I was able to get a significantly bigger offer at stripe. Plus I’m not seeing a future for the company beyond the current level of operation
I agree with you but the stock disagrees with us. Higher than precovid.
Maybe you should read the quarterly earnings report to know why. Compare that to pre covid
Why do you think?
What are you smoking? Layoffs... fking troll

Doubt more layoffs are coming. It’s kind of a shit show. People say stagnant but still more fast paced than Microsoft (was there for a long time). Comp here is way higher.
Layoffs are happening every day. But they are made of free will.
Lyft is a public company. You have access to the financials just as anyone else. If you cannot spend 10min looking it up and seeing how much we have in our bank after the depreciating assets (and simply believe rumors) then you probably shouldn't apply here.
