Just got an offer from both, similar package, I like both for their mission, culture, engineering team, very difficult decision for me. Airbnb is profitable, growth slows down a little bit since last year, have some new initiatives, some competitors, but not as fierce as lyft is facing. On the side, lyft caught Uber’s wave of issue, growth very fast, but still losing tons of money. which one will you choose and why?
Either way the gig economy isn't the panacea these companies purported. Airbnb prices are getting closer and closer to hotels. Lyft and Uber prices are going up too. Try harder would be my recommendation.
between the two I'd argue Lyft because there's more potential growth. Airbnb has already exploded across the globe and has lost a bit of luster as of late w/ prices going up and consistency going down
Lyft. With a strong competitor next door, there is no scope of slacking. Competition breeds invitation and growth.
Theoretically this is true, in reality, not sure if how both will perform in long term since I think there is no loyalty on both consumer and driver side, there will always be a pricing war

What’s your number?
I haven’t finalized the offer yet, it’s a lower end T6 now
Why don't you share your offer terms and we'll share our thoughts as insiders. Give and take
I can share it after, still negotiating
Never join the number two, always go to the market leader.
Tough one. Depends on team I guess.
Airbnb. They're a more original product. Lyft is in a more competitive space
Airbnb not in a competitive space? Every hotel ever is a competitor.
Not a single hotel lets you live like a local
