I am looking out for change and already in the middle of the process for a couple companies.
I am currently making 23.5 LPA fixed and 2.5LPA as variable at Wells Fargo India as a Senior Quant and graduated from one of the old IITs in India( Not sure whether that matters anymore). I have around 5.5 years of work ex.
I am expecting an offer from Fidelity and currently it's at the stage of offer negotiations. Fidelity is offering me L5.
Additionally, also expecting an offer from Amazon L5 role but once again I don't have any numbers from their side too.
Just needed an advice from the blind community regarding how much compensation I should ask for considering the situation market is in currently ? I want to maximize my compensation from the switch and at the moment don't have a mindset of sticking long term at either of the firms. Some additional insights in terms of work quality and balance would also be helpful.
Additionally, I am also giving interviews for London and Berlin based roles in data science.( Spotify and Klarna) How much compensation should I try for in EU based roles ?

DS should have better WLB compared to SDEs but Amazon India generally has even worse wlb compared to US. Also the fear of PIP is there. But the brand name will help in resume after 2 years. So upto you to decide depending on your preference.
