Hi, I am a 1Y MBA student at a top 3 MBA school in the U.S. and looking for corp dev/ strategy/ ops MBA internship at a tech firm. I came from top BB IBD and PE. Please let me know if your team is hiring and willing to and you would be able to refer me! PM: using a friends account to post this.
You need to ask money back from your Top Business school if you have to use Blind to get internships
Yeah debating this lol. But tech recruiting at mba is def not very robust compared to consulting and banking unfortunately
Can you reach out to alumni using LinkedIn?
Top 3...so Wharton. As someone mentioned, leverage your alumni network. Probably much more productive and targeted than a blind post (pun intended)
Well...aren't you Mister Fancy pants! MBA is a worthless degree. I should know. I have one...also from a Top 3.
How did you get your job at Juniper?
I've moved on from J. Anyways... After school I carpet bombed the Valley until I got a job. I got hired by a fancy pants company of that moment that was growing big. I suggest you do the same. The company that hires the most MBAs by far is Amazon! Focus on them hard! They hire ARMIES of MBAs--they're very well organized in this regard! Remember that these early jobs are stepping stones to greater things. You need to switch every 1-2 yrs to get to where you need b/c promotions internally are waaay to slow!! My advice: 1.) Start a new thread here and ASK for referrals to people's companies. You will get many! 2.) Sign up for LinkedIn Premium and start carpet bombing tech alumni, company recruiters. They can refer you internally and keep you in mind for future reqs. 3.) Ask your school jobs Supervisor to hook you up with CURRENT MBA recruiter CONTACTS #'s--especially Amazon since they fucking hire so many MBAs. Also try the same for other FANG, etc MBA recruiters. You'll have to engineer your path out of school. You're not an SWE so your TC and initial hiring opportunities will be less until you scale up in management where you'll be hitting home runs. Remember that experience is everything...more important than school or company name!!! You just need HUMBLE ENTRY for your internship ANYWHERE, so carpet bomb job sites, Linkedin, Blind, alumni. If only Western Digital, Cisco or Intel gives you a job, take it. When full time interview time comes up, your Internship experience(!) will get you a hard look from much better companies. Put in good effort to engineer your path this way and you should kick ass!
You couldn’t get your own acct?
I can use my school email but its not a work email so I can’t post or comment on anything

Don’t they have top recruiting services at these schools?
Don’t have a lot of corp dev/ strat/ and ops postings at the top tech firms actually. Mostly are for PM, BizDevs, IBD and Consulting. Corp dev teams are smaller and usually hire 1 person a year from what I heard
There r a ton of OPs jobs at Amazon. I don’t know if most pple can handle it. The Pathway Ops program comes to mind. They got Sr PM for Ops as well. Kindda surprising we dont recruit from your school.
