Will they lower my salary if I transfer from NYC to Philly?

Thinking about going for a position at Comcast Philly office to take advantage of lower living costs. (I am currently in Comcast Freewheel in the NYC office). Wondering if they would let me keep my current salary or whether it would be revaluated based on the new position and location- especially considering that the living cost in Philly is about half that of NYC.

Currently I make about 130k for a lv 3 software engineer with 5 yoe. I worry that this is already a lot and they may take the opportunity to lower my salary. What do you think? Do companies typically reevaluate salary for internal transfers? #transfer #comcast #freewheel #salary
