A recruiter connected about several SRE leadership opportunities. I believe that the interview will consist of System design and not coding interviews. I haven’t been coding in my current leadership role for few years. Is it easier to get into SRE roles than SWE roles for leadership? Any help will be appreciated

SE-SRE at google has one sys design, one coding, one leadership (culture fit?), one platform and then either a networking or platform interview. SWE-SRE is the same loop as SWE.
The SE-SRE sys design interview I had was to create an OTA mobile OS delivery system. Fuck that interviewer.
