Xilinx offer evaluation
Got a verbal offer from Xilinx, Base: $130k Bonus: 11% RSU: 1000 units / 4 TC: $175k Is this a decent offer? Is it worth moving from AMD to Xilinx at this point considering the Xilinx acquisition at end of this year? Current TC: $140k Yoe: 4.5 Location: Bay Area #hardware #semiconductor
35k difference is okay to jump. But make sure you are joining the team/product which is not overlapping with any team/product in AMD. Usually the overlapping products are kind of risk to join with acquisition.
It is an overlap with my current team, which is why I am concerned.
