From what I know, Apple has team specific recruitment process. What are some of the good Machine Learning teams that one should definitely apply to? How coding intensive are the ML engineer interviews? How can I prepare for the same? I’m looking to apply for new grad roles.
There is a cvml team which works on photos camera and video. Heard they do good machine learning and deep learning stuff. They sit in Apple park
ML exists in many sub orgs within Apple. They all vary and could be great or not so great depending on the team (this applies to any company not just Apple)
Yeah, so is there a way to learn which teams do interesting work?
A lot of the ML work is in Seattle and, oddly, Vancouver WA.
The interview process is unique to each team. Preparing for SWE and ML questions is a good idea. Also, a fun thing about the nonstandard process is that there is no time you have to wait to reapply, if you are interested in multiple teams. Just go down the list of teams you are interested in, apply if you don’t get an offer from the first team. Leetcode and Kaggle? Cormen’s Algorithms and ML textbooks might help. I would suggest going through the “machine learning engineer” job postings to see what interests you.
Thanks for the info!

Siri. Even though Siri isn’t the best digital assistant, Apple will make a very competitive offer for Siri ML.
Is the work more ML based or more engineering?
