What's the actual difference between Audi, BMW and Mercedes?

I would say Mercedes is the most luxurious
BMW is more sporty
Audi, I don't really know where they actually stand. They supposedly have better tech, but I don't really see that. Perhaps their quattro is the best 4WD implementation

Mercedes and BMW are distinct in their core characteristics (luxury/executive/smooth and luxury/sport)
BMW is, of course, only BMW. BMW M cars typically have a lot different than just the engine - suspension, exhaust, styling, aero, etc.
M-B hasn't really shared much across other Daimler properties since the 80s or early 90s other than a few notable examples.
Merc is good overall, smooth ride compared to Audi and BMW
Audi is between Merc and BMW
Wait until you drive an Acura with AWD
