Recently got an offer from Rippling. The equity part is based on 9b valuation derived from secondary market trasction price. For context, the company just raised a round last Oct at 6.5b.
First time seeing the valuation is calculated in that way. Also In the current market, the suggested valuation seems very unrealistic. any thoughts or insights? Any place that I can confirm the secondary market price? my hunch is 9b is too high.
Offer TC ~ 400k half base half equity

Current market conditions would warrant half that valuation for any non public companies at this point with market uncertainty - so negotiate accordingly, not what the company thinks their valuation is!
