Pms are rarely responsive. Ive been blocked on a ticket for half a year because they wont respond to me about requirements.

Manager came to me asking about the ticket. Told them im blocked by missing requirements from another pm. Said theyd help anyway they could, reached out to them days later about how i got left on read again by the pm, then no response.

Then the same week, im given a needs improvement by my manager on my perf review for tickets carrying over sprints over the past year and communication because i dont attend BOTH daily standups sometimes.

Yet my manager hasnt responded to 4 of my messages over the past 1-2 weeks.

I also always ask for how i can do better every 1:1 we have and he never expressed his concern for tickets carrying over until this week.

How toxic is this? Or is it not?

Start escalating these things immediately. CC the PMs manager. Invite them to a "requirement clarification" meeting with your manager too. And say in the invite "this can be resolved without a meeting if you answer these questions"

    Take some responsibility

True, frankly i dont give a fuck about the ticket and also am a very passive person and afraid of conflict so i havent bothered to escalate. Im gonna do this

Haha I totally understand not giving a fuck about it. Esp when they didn't give you enough requirements. You got this 🙏🏻

The manager will feel like they're being put on the spot and may retaliate.

Just do your best and if the others aren't willing to play ball switch jobs/teams.

This. I always add my manager to the chat instead of just DM-ing one person.

You’ve been PIPed, but you haven’t realized it yet.
