147.5 TC level L60 120base + 30 bonus + 50 stock 4 yoe But MS recruiter and Hiring manager says they can't go beyond that. Currently I am getting 140k now. I got another offer from Amazon for SDE1 waiting for numbers. I liked the team in MS but the pay too less for me to make a decision. Update: Got offer from Amazon 125 base 45k bonus(2 years) and 35 stocks(4 years) TC 151k first year I liked the Reporting manager in Amazon and looks like she is really helpful and I feel under guidance I can get promoted easily to sde2 in less than 1.5 years Update: Amazon revised offer with 138base +25bonus +30 stocks TC 165
Which team?
Outlook team
I'm starting to think that the Office org offers much lower TC
Wait for an offer from Amazon. I don’t know much about Microsoft (anymore) but L60 sounds very low as an entry level these days.
What can I expect from Amazon?
I don’t know much about SDE comp, sorry, but I know that I joined way too low and it took me many years to get promoted through levels.
Omg this seems very low for 4 yoe :/
Don't take you should get L61, they are definitely down leveling you. I know people got L61 with 3 years of experience. Moving from L60 to L61 will take around 12-18 months.
Hiring manager said If I have to make the level change I have to go through a lot of approvals I can't do it now.
That's not your headache.
Yikes
It's not bad at all for Seattle. Remember that there's a 30% difference between the bay and here.
Microsoft has really good benefits however, no health premiums and $9k to your 401k if you max it out. Free bus pass, discounted stock. Also yearly bonus is 0-20%, most people get 10% and some stock.
That seems like a good L60 offer. Better than my L61 was.
