If you’ve already been in the industry and ground out a position in the senior or principal level then there’s no point.
Financially it’s super questionable whether there is any point at all for any scenario I laid out. Opportunity cost is a cruel mistress.
Also, would you require visa sponsorship?
I know a lot of brilliant finance minds ( IIT) who wanted to break into investment banking/finance and went to a good bschool but couldn’t break through because they didn’t have prior industry experience and wanted visa sponsorship
Timing the market is totally appropriate when you’re talking long time lines. It’s just dumb and fruitless on month to month bases
